Imagine a classroom where books aren’t just pages to be flipped, but doorways to adventure and discovery. Where students don’t passively consume information, but actively engage with it, asking questions, making connections, and constructing their own meaning. This transformative scenario becomes a reality when effective questioning strategies are woven into the fabric of reading instruction.Read More

Did you know our STAAR Reading Bundles are always growing?
Sometimes expansion is bad. Too much pecan pie over the holidays is bad expansion , lol...but oh so good. Too many cars on the highway create messy expansion. Einstein showed us the scary power of nuclear expansion.
But we have great news for the good type of expansion.
We are expanding our STAAR reading bundles!
In this post, you will see:
- a list of ways to use bundles,
- a highlight set of reading bundles, and
- reviews from Texas teachers who've used our resources this year!
Let's start with a few ideas on how to use our reading bundles as an effective teaching resource.

How to Use Bundles
Of course, bundles are great because they're discounted and you save money. And who doesn't like to save money?
The bundles are also special because they give multiple days of resources for teaching the same skill. Here are a few ways to use bundles. We don't believe STAAR review should become monotonous over the course of a week of instruction.
- Task card games.
- Task card basketball.
- Test question slap down.
- Resources for guided reading.
- Use them with visible learning activities.
- Pre-assessment, warmups, reteaching, post-assessment.

4 Months of STAAR Daily Warm-Up Bundles for Grades 3-8
Get your students out of their seats and engaged in reading quick STAAR prep passages.
6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Reading
We recently started expanding into middle school reading, and are happy to share these bundles with you. You're going to find them aligned with the TEKS and CCSS.
The texts are segmented and leveled for grade 7-9 text complexity!
This means students are engaged with STAAR style texts in short segments. It keeps their attention, boosts engagement, and scaffolds confidence with STAAR question stems.
"Thank you for sharing this amazing resource! I'm looking forward to using it with my students during stations and reader's workshop!"

New Reading Bundles on the Way!
We are expanding our STAAR warm-ups and will be bundling them for entire semester units. We'll also bundle up units of study for Lucy Calkins writing. And we're very excited to announce Spanish bundles for grades 3 through 6! All coming soon.
If you'd like to be notified when these bundles are released consider following TeamTom at Teachers Pay Teachers.
Now, let's see what Teachers are saying about these reading bundles.
What Teachers Say...
Teachers and students love the reading resource bundles. It's not uncommon to hear things like, "I love the quick passages and questions. It really helps them stay engaged and be successful." We often receive feedback such as, "Used in stations. Very engaging activity."
But don't take our word for it. Here's what teachers say...
